At some moments of photography, it is necessary to statically fix the camera, in order to avoid unnecessary shaking and vibrations, as well as in the conditions of studio, subject shooting. A tripod is needed, but not all hobbyists have the opportunity to purchase one. And then there is only one thing left - to make a tripod with your own hands. The same problem arose before me when I wanted to carry out object photography. My advantage was that I had the opportunity to use different materials, as well as a welding machine. The assembly technology was borrowed from Vintik-Shpuntik - from what was at hand, without the use of turning work. As a result of simple actions, such an accessory was born.

One of the main features was the screw itself for attaching the camera to the tripod. Here I had to use a fixing head from an existing mini-tripod with plastic legs. As a result of this design, there is another tripod specially designed for winter photography. The base remained metal, and wood was used as legs. The tripod turned out to be quite light and tall, which was a plus in deep snow conditions.

The main part of both tripods is an interchangeable control head, which I rearrange within a few seconds depending on the upcoming shooting.

P.S. Later on the site Aliexpress looked after an inexpensive, lightweight, compact tripod

with acceptable characteristics at a low price

Ordered it 25 February… Registration on the site is not difficult - … andMarch 25 i already received the tripod in the mail. Delivery was received within 4 weeks.

Main advantages: lightweight (just over 400 grams), compact, functional (you can shoot with the camera both in landscape orientation and in portrait orientation) ... there is a built-in level. The tripod comes with a cloth cover….

Before making an accessory for your smartphone, you need to think about what kind of raw materials to use, because the body of the finished tripod must be strong.

First of all, you need to figure out what tasks the manufactured tripod will perform. If you have to use it constantly, then you need to think about which of the materials to choose so that it will last a long time. If you plan to use it less often, but you want to save money, you can take raw materials that you always have at home. Let's get to the point.

If you make a wooden stand for a camera or smartphone, it is better to cover it with stain - this way it will last a long time.

From the skirting board for plastic windows

When the glazing in the house changes to a more modern one, some kind of waste is bound to remain. In this case, we will use them. To begin with, we will prepare all the inventory so that later we will not be distracted from work.

Materials and tools

For work you will need:

  • plinth from plastic windows;
  • hacksaw;
  • drill;
  • metal tube.

Please note that aged plastic will not work as it may crack during use.

Step-by-step instruction

  1. We take the rest of the plastic and cut off a part half as large as your smartphone.
  2. Let's prepare the fasteners on which we will drill two holes and insert a screw and a locking ball into them.
  3. We measure the diameter of each element for fixation. Then we'll attach the prepared plastic and mark where these parts will be.
  4. We make holes on a piece of plinth with the appropriate diameter of the feint and ball.
  5. Now we fasten the adapter and fix the base of the future tripod to it.
  6. We process the edges of the plastic with electrical tape, tape or silicone glue so that they do not scratch the phone.
  7. Next, we screw on a long telescopic tube (you can use a regular one), place the smartphone in the connector, and then start shooting.

GOOD TO KNOW!

If you are in doubt about the reliability of the holding device, you can fix the phone with an elastic band. Use a thin and elastic one like a slingshot.

Adjustable cardboard tripod

It may seem to some that any cardboard is not able to securely hold the phone while shooting. However, if you follow the instructions, you can get a sturdy tripod for long shots.

It is best not to use bare aluminum wire to construct the stands. It is better to choose one that has a protective shell.

Materials and tools

To make a cardboard tripod, you will need:

  • any cardboard box;
  • scissors;
  • ruler;
  • ball pen;
  • pistol glue.

Step-by-step instruction

We will immediately prepare the desktop so that we do not waste time searching for inventory in the process. Next, let's start making the tripod.

  1. Cut the cardboard box into several pieces (you need three pieces of 10 × 6 cm).

  2. Now take one piece and draw lines on it at a distance of 20 mm from each other. We make four stripes and cut off the excess

  3. Now we push through each drawn line with a ruler and bend the figure outward. Then we glue the resulting edges together with a gun.

  4. Now we do the same from the second cardboard, only draw lines at a distance of 16 mm.

  5. We press and bend them again, use a glue gun to form a shape.

  6. Next, insert the smaller part into the larger one.

  7. We measure the required distance at which the phone should be installed during shooting and pierce two holes in the cardboard. We insert a retainer into them (can be made from paper).

  8. Now on the edge of the upper fragment of our tripod we make cuts that will hold the smartphone. Their depth should be at least 1 cm.

  9. Next, we form a stand for the cardboard device. To do this, glue the rest of the box to the prepared tripod with a pistol.

As a result of these steps, you get a durable homemade tripod with a stand that you can use on the table when taking selfies or shooting videos.

Plywood tripod stand for smartphone

Plywood is one of the wood materials. It is used for different purposes. Today we will use such a board for making. Necessarily for these purposes you need a diagram or drawing.

Materials and tools

To create a wooden phone stand, you need to have on hand:

  • simple pencil;
  • plywood;
  • jigsaw.

Step-by-step instruction

  1. Let's prepare plywood, cut out two parts from it, measuring 10.5 × 5 cm and 12 × 5 cm.
  2. Grind two fragments, make sure that there are no burrs on the edges.
  3. We make sawing at a distance of 2-2.5 cm from the side edge of the workpiece. The width of the cut piece on each part should be no more than 5 mm.
  4. Remember that we make cuts approximately to the middle. Next, we connect the two parts together "groove-in-groove".
  5. On a part that has a shorter length, we make a recess with a chisel, then we grind it with sandpaper.
  6. Now we clean our workpiece, and then cover it with varnish or decorate it in an interesting design.
  7. Then we install our smartphone in the recess and enjoy the result.

You can make a lot of interesting products in the form of phone stands from plywood and thin boards. If you are creating an accessory for a child, you can take as a basis the schemes of various animals or colorful geometric shapes.

Table stands made of wood

How to make an interesting tripod out of wood

Everyone who uses a camera on a smartphone understands that the image quality directly depends on the immobility of the device. The more convenient and reliable the phone is on a tripod, the better the image will be.

Materials and tools

  • wooden bars;
  • smartphone holder;
  • a fastener from a table lamp;
  • glue gun;
  • thin PVC tube.

Step-by-step instruction

  1. First of all, we will prepare all the available blocks for processing. To do this, we will grind them from all sides to remove irregularities.
  2. Next, take a large block and glue the small ones to it along the edges.
  3. The wide plane will be the basis of our tripod.
  4. Now we glue the PVC tube to the prepared bar.
  5. We drill two symmetrical holes with a diameter corresponding to the fastener.
  6. We insert the fixing element, form a small rectangular bar with the same hole, which is subsequently attached to the reacting mechanism.
  7. On top of the resulting block, glue another, slightly larger size. It will serve as a platform.
  8. Now we attach a plastic phone holder to the resulting structure in a horizontal position.

After the steps have been taken, you can use a homemade tripod as a purchased one. Such a device can be used at home for shooting full-length video.

Wooden phone stands

How to make a tripod for a phone from scrap materials

Among the variety of tools and materials that can be used to create homemade tripods, there are options that are always available in the home. At this stage, we will burn out precisely about such devices.

When the house has a lot of file and paper holders, they can be used with great benefit for the phone. It is from these devices that we will create a simple tripod.

  1. For a portable stand, prepare one large binder and another smaller one.
  2. We open the large fastener, put the handles of the small one in it and slam the structure.
  3. Lift the bottom holder up, then simply place your smartphone on the stand.
  4. Ideally, it is better to silicone the edges of the mini tripod to avoid possible scratches on the phone case.

GOOD TO KNOW!

Such a device is convenient to carry with you in a bag, organizer or even in your pocket. Such a gadget will be especially useful for those who work in the office and always keep their cell phone at hand.

Clothespin option

For this purpose, it is advisable to use both plastic and wooden clothespins. However, it is worth noting that the latter will look better, especially if they are decorated in any of the ways. Let's start making the stand.

  1. The product requires one ballpoint pen and 5 clothespins.
  2. We attach all the clothespins from the middle to the edge with the cap.
  3. We unfold the two extreme ones in the opposite direction.
  4. Raise the next two (located on opposite sides) up.
  5. You can assume that the tripod is ready. We install the phone on it and use it as a regular stand or photography tool.

In this version of the accessory, you can adjust the tilt of the smartphone.

A tripod made of a piece of copper wire

The next homemade stand option is more suitable for cameras. It is not difficult to make this accessory, the main thing is to properly prepare all the tools.

  1. We collect the necessary material: silicone tube, copper wire, brass adapters, two bolts, wire cutters, burner, water and dishwashing detergent, epoxy.
  2. We bake copper wire, observing safety rules and cool it in water.
  3. We clean the wire with tow, then carefully place it in a silicone tube.
  4. The next step is to put a brass sleeve on the tube, it will serve as a connecting element for the bolt and wire.
  5. Next, cut off the cap from the bolt with a grinder or a metal saw, leaving a tail of 2-3 cm.
  6. Next, screw the resulting part into the adapter and fix it with a glue gun, or better with epoxy. A piece of 0.5 mm should remain outside the adapter. This is required to further mount the camera.
  7. We fix the opposite side in the same way, only we do not leave the bolt outside.

In the process of use, this device can be wound on tree branches and on any other support in case there is no one nearby, and taking a picture is a matter of prime necessity.

When making accessories for electronics, it is better to take materials with a margin.

Dear users. Feel free to ask questions in the comments, tell us if you liked the DIY tripod ideas. If something is not clear, we will discuss it in priority order.

To get a good shot, it is advisable to fix the camera in order to obtain a clear focus, because a person's hands begin to twitch involuntarily during concentration. A tripod helps to solve the problem, which can be easily purchased at any specialty store or department that sells photographic products.

Non-professional photographers rarely decide to purchase a special tripod, since it is generally expensive, and not used so often. Craftsmen have invented several versions of homemade camera tripods. How to make a tripod with your own hands and how to replace a tripod for a camera, you will learn from the materials of this article.

How to make a tripod for a camera?

In our case, disposable razors were used as the main material in the manufacture of a tripod for a camera with our own hands.

You will need:

3 shaving razors;
a small piece of board;
glue "Moment";
screw 4 - 5 cm long and 0.5 cm in diameter;

Nut;
sealing ring;
drill;
Kuzbass varnish or black enamel.

Making a tripod from razors

Draw a small isosceles triangle on the board, each side of which is half a centimeter longer than the length of the machine blade. With a drill in the very center of the triangle, make a hole.

We cut out a triangular piece, screw a screw into the hole.

We paint the part black, glue the razors on the sides.

How do I mount the camera on a tripod?

We put an O-ring on the screw and screw in the nut. We mount the camera on a homemade tripod in the same way as on a factory product.

A homemade tripod can also be used to mount a compact camcorder.

For a lady or a girl, you can make a flirty pink tripod using razors designed for women.

As a mount for a camera, creative masters suggest using improvised items that are in almost every home.

Homemade tripod ideas:

From a table vise;

From a plastic bottle filled with wet sand or water;

From a thick cut tennis ball;

From a pile of videotapes, books, or a hard box securely bound together.

In emergencies, you can use any flat horizontal surface: a fence, a high stump, etc. All this will help to avoid camera or camcorder shake and make high-quality pictures or a good movie clip.

How to make a photo tripod from a bottle

While on a business trip, it was required to prepare a photo report on the results of the work. But here's the bad luck, the room is large, there is not enough natural light, there is no artificial light and will not be, and the camera flash does not illuminate further than 4 meters.

There is only one way out - to mount the camera on a photo tripod and take the necessary pictures with a long exposure. The improvised tripod was assembled by hand in about ten minutes from a plastic bottle filled with nails and a screw for attaching a video camera. Recently, the tripod for night photography has been repeated in field conditions.

How to make a photo tripod with your own hands

1. We collect a critical mass of components. PET bottle. Standard screw with inch thread for attaching photo and video equipment. The screw from the casing of old Soviet film cameras is very suitable. The groove on the screw between the thread and the head will allow it to be conveniently attached to the plug. Depending on the length of the screw, washers will be required if necessary, in my case only two pieces.

2. Drill a hole in the plastic bottle cap with a diameter of 4.3mm. I drilled with a 4mm drill, and then increased the diameter of the hole with it.

3. Screw the screw into the hole in the cover from the outside by cutting the thread. If the screw passes freely into the hole, this is permissible, but in field conditions it is fraught with the loss of the main fastener.

4. Unscrew the screw. We put the washers inside the cover and screw in the screw from the inside.

5. Fasten the cover to the standard camera mounting hole. If it fails to fit tightly, washers must be added.

6. We take a bottle, to make it heavier we put sand or small pebbles inside 1/2 or 2/3, in an extreme case, you can pour water, the heavier the bottle is, the more stable the tripod will be.

7. Close the bottle with the cap with the attached camera - the tripod is ready.

The bottle can be attached to trees and other vertical objects with rubber bands.

In field conditions, it is enough to take with you only a cap with a screw (this is the head of a photographic tripod;)), I think there will be no problems with finding a suitable bottle.

How to mount a camera on a bicycle with your own hands

The site has published a method for making a simple photo of a tripod from a plastic bottle. But the original design of the tripod head makes it possible to fix the camera on different objects, for example, on a bicycle, with your own hands, thereby making a cheap alternative to action cameras like GoPro.

The steps for retrofitting your bike are shown below.

1. Take the PET bottle. It is enough to take a 0.25 liter bottle. Moreover, the thinner the bottle walls, the tighter the mount on the handlebars will sit.

2. Cut off the bottom of the bottle with scissors or a knife. We work carefully so as not to cut ourselves.

3. We cut the PET bottle into 5-7 sectors, and cut it through to dense plastic in the area of \u200b\u200bthe neck.

4. For better flexibility of the resulting sectors, we additionally cut each sector into two or three strips. We cut the strips before the sector begins to narrow.

5. We wind reinforced scotch tape on the steering wheel in the place of installation of the homemade camera mounting bracket; electrical tape will do. Winding is necessary to prevent possible sliding of the structure on the handlebars.

6. We orientate the future mount by the angle of inclination to the horizon, I mount it with a slight slope to the ground.

7. Sequentially, first, using pieces of adhesive tape, attach the blank with two strips stretched along the steering wheel. Then we attach with strips wrapped around the steering wheel. We do not attach all the strips. We fix only those strips that give tight contact with the attachment point. In this version, only five strips are screwed on.

8. Cut off excess strips and protruding ends.

9. For beauty, wrap the place of attachment with tape or electrical tape.

10. Fasten the head to the camera and mount the camera on a hand-made bracket. We orient the direction of shooting.

Photographers know that in order to get a good shot, you need to provide clear focus. This is done by fixing the camera in a fixed position, for example, on a tripod. The latter are presented on the market by different models, manufacturers. They are not cheap, because they are purchased more by those who are engaged in photography professionally, or are not constrained in money.

But, if you wish, you can make a tripod for the camera yourself. At the same time, inexpensive and affordable components are used, which ultimately allows you to get a reliable device, the consumer properties of which are not worse than those of the factory ones.

It is not necessary to come up with your own design. The problem has long been solved by many craftsmen - you can use their suggestions. For example, described below:

The components for the future tripod can be:

  • Razors - you need three of them;
  • Served time will do, but not lost sight;
  • Small board;
  • A bolt with a diameter of 5 mm and a length of 4 ... 5 cm;
  • O-ring and bolt nut;
  • Glue, for example, "Moment"; black enamel (can be replaced with Kuzbass varnish).

They start with the preparation of a wooden base. An isosceles triangle is cut out of the board, the length of the sides of which is more than the size of the razor blades by half a centimeter. In the center, using a drill, arrange a hole with a diameter slightly smaller than that of the bolt shaft.

Applying force, screw the bolt into the resulting hole until its head stops in the base. At the wooden part, the corners are slightly rounded, the surfaces are polished; then covered with black paint or Kuzbass varnish.

Razors with heads from the side of the blades are glued to the sides of the triangular base. The free end of the bolt should be directed upwards - in the direction opposite to the direction of the razor handles.

A nut is screwed onto the free end of the bolt, it is easily tightened. This fixes the position of the bolt, does not allow it to move in the hole.

The tripod is ready. When used, the razor handle ends are placed on the surface. From above, at the protruding end of the bolt, a camera is attached.

By making your own camera tripod, you can create a unique accessory for your camera.

With its help, the picture of the resulting videos will be well stabilized and you do not have to spend a large amount, because the product can be created from scrap materials.

Content:

In the process of taking pictures, or novice photographers, they often face the problem of a blurry frame.

Image stabilization does not depend on the location of the shot, but on a good tripod, which will securely hold the camera, not allowing it to move.

The best option for capturing high-quality photos and videos is using a tripod. Camera stands can be of several types:

  • Tripods are the most stable structures with three supports, which are installed on the floor or table;
  • Monopods - standard stands with magnetic or regular base;
  • Multipodes;
  • Belt stand. More often used for video filming;
  • Rope tripods and other suspended structures.

Making a stable tripod with your own hands

The tripod is the most expensive type of tripod. On specialized sites, the price of a structure can reach 5-7 thousand rubles.

But is such a waste justified if you can make the stand yourself?

To create your own tripod you will need 2 rectangular tubes with rounded edges. Also, you should purchase 2 ski poles made of aluminum material.

To create a solid base, take a piece of chrome steel pipe (about half a meter long). To connect all the elements, you must purchase self-tapping screws, screws, nuts with washers.

Of the repair tools you need:

  • Standard drill with drill;
  • Hacksaw blade;
  • File;
  • Wrench;
  • Regular screwdriver;
  • Hammer, sandpaper;
  • Two small wooden boards (squares 10x10 centimeters);
  • Pliers.

Take three rectangular tubes and cut three small pieces from it, as shown in the picture below. Make cuts and peel back the "ears" to create the brackets.

You should get three such details:

Fig. 3 - the resulting tripod elements (3 in total)

Take the ski shelves and sand them well with a few sheets of sandpaper. Make sure all paint has been removed. Now cut both elements in half.

In the future, half of the sanded stick will be the base of the tripod.

Figure 4 - Grinding Parts

Take one of the wooden planks and make a round hole in it to mount the camera and mount it.

The hole diameter must match the diameter of the previously ground tube:

Fig. 5 - creating a hole

Now let's move on to creating the tripod legs. One of the brackets made in the first step will be used as an attachment.

Place the bracket over the tube as shown in the figure below and drill a screw hole to adjust the position of the tripod.

Figure 6 - fixing one bracket

Install the chrome tube into the hole in the base. Then install three brackets into the base, each of which has a rectangular tube attached with screws.

You should get the following construction:

Fig. 7 - finished tripod base

Now take a second board that is identical in size to the first. Make another bracket and attach it like this:

Fig. 8 - creating the upper part of the tripod mount

Take a self-tapping screw and drill it into the base so that part of the part appears on its back.

The camera will be screwed to it, so carefully select the size of the screw:

Fig. 9 - completion of the foundation

As a result, you should get the following tripod design:

Fig. 10 - finished product

As you can see, a homemade tripod looks no different from a purchased one. Its main advantage is that the base can be rotated, which allows you to set the desired angle of the picture.

If you take larger boards, you can create a structure that can easily withstand heavier cameras.

By extending part of the tripod, you can set the camera both horizontally and vertically:

DIY: Cheap Tripod for Home Photography

This tripod variant resembles a simple camera stand. You can use it to install the camera on a table or other elevated, flat surface.

As practice shows, such tripods make autofocus more accurate, because the gadget does not move at all during shooting.

To create a tripod at home, you need a few inexpensive parts:

  • Plastic soda bottle. We will use a standard 0.5 liter container. Note that the larger the volume of the bottle, the better the stability of the structure. The ideal option is to use a five-liter container;
  • A bolt with a caliber suitable for the tripod socket on your camera;
  • Two washers standard size;
  • Nut.

Fig. 12 - preparation of materials

It is advisable to take a bottle with a wide neck, this way you can achieve better stability, because the cap is the base of the tripod. There will be a camera on it.

You should get the following scheme:

Figure 13 - Creating a tripod base

The resulting product should not wobble or unwind. You can use a tripod already in this condition if the camera is lightweight. He will hold up well.

If you need to lift the gadget off the surface, use the rest of the bottle.

With its help, you can make the future tripod heavier so that it does not flip over and holds the camera well.

A simple weighting option is water. Just put it in a bottle and screw on the cap. Attach the camera to the resulting product.

You can also add a full bottle of sand to reduce the chances of water spilling and damaging your camera if dropped.

A homemade camera stand will look like this:

Fig. 14 - appearance of a homemade tripod

As you can see, the product turns out to be very practical and you will not spend a penny on it. Operating tips:

  • Large cameras should not be used with such a tripod. Most likely, it will not hold a weighty gadget;
  • Set up the tripod only on level surfaces, as it cannot be secured, which can cause the camera to fall;
  • Handle a bottle filled with water with care to avoid spilling liquid on the device.

Making a magnetic tripod

Using the idea from the previous tutorial, you can create more than just a stable tripod.

By attaching a durable magnet to the base, you get a universal mount that cannot be installed on any surface.

Often such products are used in cars for shooting videos, because the magnet firmly holds the camcorder, not allowing you to create blurry pictures.

It is better to buy a magnet as thick as possible. The larger its dimension, the better the camera will be fixed to the surface. The mount can be trimmed if necessary.

Figure: 15 is an example of a magnetic camera tripod and its attachment to a surface

A well-made product can support the camera even in an upright position.

Stable razor stand

This option is perfect for beginner photographers who are not yet ready to spend large sums on the purchase of professional camera accessories.

The stand raises the camera 10-15 centimeters above the surface. Suitable for placing on a table, floor or other level surface.

Figure: 16 - example of a finished stand

To create a short tripod you will need:

  • Three shaving machines;
  • Small board;
  • Super glue;
  • One screw, which is 5 cm long and 0.5 cm in diameter;
  • Nut;
  • Sealant;
  • Varnish of any color;
  • Drill.

On the board, cut a small triangle that will be the base. Make a round hole in the center. Screw the screw into the resulting hole.

Attach three looms to the sides of the triangle and paint the structure with colored varnish.

Place the sealing ring on the screw and screw in the nut. Secure the camera.

Fig. 17 - example of using the stand

Rope tripod

This tripod option is perfect if you need to shoot outdoors, but you do not have the ability or desire to carry weighty mounts with you.

The rope tripod is an accessory that you can make yourself in less than 5 minutes.

Its peculiarity is that you can put the stand in your pocket, and, if necessary, fix it anywhere: on a tree branch, table, bench and other places.

The reliable stand allows you to improve the quality of photos in the dark and twilight. Autofocus will start to work much better, and you will get great pictures even when viewed in detail under zoom.

After following the instructions, you will receive a tripod like this:

Figure 18 - Simple Rope Camera Stand

You will need:

  • 2-3 meters of good rope;
  • Hook bolt with thread pitch ¼. This type is suitable for most cameras, because the bolt is attached to the base of the camera in a special connector;
  • The camera itself. For such a simple design, you should not take too heavy gadgets. A regular digital camera will do.

The required bolt can be purchased at any hardware store for less than 20 rubles. The rope will cost 150-200 rubles, depending on its diameter and strength.
