And now I have a question: where is the most income - in Yandex Direct or Google Adsense?

Best Wordpress Theme: Video Review...

I decided to see what is the average cost per click in both affiliate programs. (For other types of earnings read in this article)

I must say right away that the cost per click is usually higher for ads that are at the beginning of the article and much less for those somewhere at the bottom. I have one block at the top and one at the bottom, not counting ads from Yandex inside the articles.

Where more earnings, in Yandex or Google?

Top block, average CPC:

Yandex - 2.44 rubles
Google - 6.4 rubles

Bottom block, average CPC:

Yandex - 1.68
Google - 3.8 rubles

Subject computer or something like that. As you can see, Google pays twice as much. And what does it mean? And this means that you need to put Adsense ads in the most profitable places, and leave Yandex Direct only in the article as links - Google ads are not like links.

These are the pies, you need to experiment, otherwise you won’t achieve a good conversion.

A year or even two has passed, and I decided to check again, what brings more income, Adsense or YAN? In the article I placed the blocks side by side and now I'll see what happened. The experiment was not long, but everything will be clear. So:

Adsense: 22 clicks, $0.71 revenue (cool! and that's for 4850 impressions!)

YAN: 20 clicks, 50 rubles ($0.62)

That was yesterday, but what about today?

Adsense today is 50 cents, YAN is 34 rubles, which is again less.

The conclusion is simple: Adsense more profitable YAN, at least on my site - and why is everyone so torn there?

Didn't find an answer? Use the site search

What is more profitable to place on the site: Yandex.Direct or Google AdSense? This question is asked by all webmasters who plan to monetize their website traffic with contextual advertising. But, no one can definitely answer it - this can only be done for a specific site, alternately placing one or another ad blocks on it and tracking statistics. It is about such an experiment that I want to write today.

But, before moving on to the results of my mini experiment, I want to make an announcement. The author of the blog wlad2.ru Vlad interviewed me. This is my first interview, so don't judge too harshly. Well, now to our sheep.

So, there is one site that has been running for a long time and was accepted into last Tuesday. AdSense, by the way, must be removed before being added to YAN - this will significantly increase the chances of your site being accepted there. The visitor to the site barely reaches the minimum required by the rules of Direct, but the theme, apparently, is why it was accepted (daily average by week):

Prior to this in AdSense:

When adding a site to YAN, I placed ad blocks in much the same way as AdSense had been placed before, but the CTR was very different. I began to think - what was the matter and realized: in YAN, CTR is calculated for each ad. That is, you posted two blocks of 5 ads, when you open the page, you have already read 10 impressions (discussion on the search). And in AdSense, with the same opening, one impression. I had two blocks of four ads and one block with one ad on my site. That is, in order to be able to compare CTR, you need to divide impressions in YAN by 9 and recalculate CTR. Then we get the following picture (impressions are old, CTR is recalculated):

(the data slightly differs from the screenshot - later statistics)

And yesterday, having not yet figured out the CTR, I decided to somehow increase it, and replaced the ad block above the content with a vertical one, with a large font and 5 ads. CTR immediately went up, but a few hours later I received this email:

How do they do it?! Do they monitor the CTR and if it starts to rise sharply, do they look at the site manually?? In general, I had to reduce the font and limit the number of ads in the block to 4. Naturally, after these actions, the CTR dropped again. Okay, I think enough theory, let's calculate what happened:

adsense:

  • Income for seven days: $ 14.61 or 453 rubles.
  • Average CTR: 4.06%
  • Average CPC: $0.20 or $6.20

YAN:

  • Income for less than eight days: 459 rub.
  • Average CTR: 8.98%
  • Average CPC: $3.44

What happens? That both systems, at the moment, are equally beneficial for this site. The AdSense ads on my site have twice the CTR, but the cost per click is twice as high.

Now I plan to combine two systems of contextual advertising on the site: since the cost per click in AdSense is higher, I will put its block in the most clickable place - in front of the content. The remaining two places will have ads from . This method allows you to raise the cost per click in both systems - after all, only the most expensive ads will be shown (fewer ads from each system per page view = more competition for an impression = higher cost per click). I ask readers to vote whether to publish the next report on this small experiment on the blog (the vote is not visible in the RSS, you need to go to the site).

Hi all! In today's article, we will talk with you about the earnings of a blogger in YAN (advertising network I'm index), namely earnings on contextual advertising.

Surely you noticed that I recently removed Google Adsense ads from the blog and installed Yandex Direct. Why, why? I'm experimenting... I want to know which advertising brings more money, Adsense or Direct. By the way, in the following articles I will conduct a mini review of the experiment, therefore.

So! Let's start with a little introduction! Finally, they took me to the YAN, applied for adding a platform 5-6 times, they constantly refused ... If I don’t submit an application, I receive an answer in 5-7 days:

I don’t know why they didn’t like my site (website), but in general, according to all the rules, it seems to fit. I read somewhere on some forum that if the answer from the moderators does not come within 3-4 days, then most likely they did not consider it, it was considered by a robot. And the robot in 95% of cases rejects the site. These are the things... Well, that's not the point... The main thing is now everything is fine.

By the way, I note that I applied not through the Yandex website itself, but through the Yandex Advertising Network Partner Service Center - Profit-Partner. The application in it is also considered by the Yandex moderators, but here for some reason I was immediately accepted, which made me very happy.

Let's start with the most important thing. Far from all sites are taken to Profit-Partner, you can participate in the conditions. Here are the most basic conditions:

- attendance (per day) more than 300 uniques (by the way, there were cases, they took without 300).
- the site is located on a paid hosting (blogspot, livejournal, mail, etc. do not roll).
— site audience — Russians and Ukrainians
– the age of the site is at least 1 month

In Google Adsesne it is easier, there is at least 2.5 people a week attendance and you will be hired without problems, here it will be more difficult with this.

It’s too early for me to talk about where more money is made in adsense or direct, it takes time, as I said, I will publish a small mini review in the following articles. So far, about 300 rubles have run up in 3 days. Now I would like to tell you why I was interested in making money on Yandex contextual advertising and why it is better to register through the Profit-Partner CSP.

First, about why Yandex was interested. See. If we take google ads adsesne, then ads corresponding to the subject of your site (blog) are shown in it (in advertising contextual blocks). That is, if you have a blog about cooking, then ads will be shown on culinary topics. I think you understand.

In Yandex, everything is a little different. Here, in contextual advertising blocks, ads are shown not only corresponding to the subject of the site (blog), but also those that will be of interest to the visitor of your resource. Now I will explain in more detail.

You sit at the monitor screen, climbed into google to find information about buying a Lada Kalina Universal car. You drive the phrase “where to buy Lada Kalina Universal” into a Google or Yandex search and it gives you an output (a list of sites with information).

At this point, the data is entered into the browser cache. Further, for example, you go to another site, maybe even of a different topic, but it has Yandex contextual ads, and what can happen?

The Yandex script will take data from your browser's cache and show ads that match your search queries. You typed Lada Kalina Universal in Google, so it will show you ads about Lada Kalina in some blocks. I think it's understandable!

My grandfather wants to buy here new Lada Kalina Universal, so the day before yesterday I was looking for a long time where it is better to buy it in St. Petersburg, the data was entered into the browser cache, now I won’t go to any site (where there is advertising from Yandex), I see ads about Lada Kalina everywhere. Here are the things. I believe that Yandex has a big advantage over Google in this. More people will click on your ad.

I was also interested in Yandex by the fact that here the type of contextual ads is much more beautiful. Personally, I like Yandex context more than Google. And the ad settings themselves are more functional here ...

1. Top notch support. I asked a question about acceptance into the YAN, they immediately answered me, and even so friendly, plus they gave free recommendations (sent by e-mail) on how to increase the chances of getting into the YAN and what needs to be done if your site (blog) is not accepted. In general, well done guys, they work with a bang.

2. There is a system of bonuses. Nicely done by the way. You earn money on Yandex advertising, you are awarded bonus points, in the future these points can be exchanged for various goods and services.

For 625,000 points you can place your resource in the Yandex Catalog for free! How do you like this arrangement? Why do you need to add a site (blog) to the YaK? Read here - "". Also in Profit-Partner there are various interesting promotions!

3. Conclusion Money very comfortable. You don’t need to wait until you have $100, like in Adsense, for example, in YAN you can withdraw from 1 ruble. Payments are made automatically. You can withdraw to Yandex Money, WMR, WMZ, PayPal, ePassporte, Privat 24, bank transfer.

4. I don’t know if this is true or not, but somewhere, again on the forums, I read that if the Yandex code is installed on the site (blog), then the resource will be indexed by Yandex itself faster. The code from gogole adsense is installed, then there will be a quick indexing from Google. Don't know. I'm not going to confirm, but if so, then good!

5. The most interesting. Profit-Partner has an affiliate program. Attract new members to the Profit-Partner CSP and get 5% of your partners' earnings. For every 1000 rubles earned by your partners, you will receive 50 rubles. What if there are 100 partners?

There are still other possibilities, but I think I listed the most basic ones. Now let's move on to placing and configuring context blocks. First of all, you will need to add your site (website or blog) to the system, it will automatically go for moderation. After you add it and it is APPROVED by MODERATORS, then after that you will need to get the script code for the ads, place it in the right place on your resource, and then send the platform back for moderation.

The second step is to let you know that the code has been placed on your website (blog) and you can start taking into account clicks on ads, impressions, CTR and everything else... You can place no more than 9 blocks with ads on one page. There are only three blocks in Adsense.

So what else. Yes, that's what. In the Profit-Partner CSP, you can also earn not only on contextual advertising, but also on placing a banner on your resource. Go to the site and click "For bloggers" at the bottom. There is all the information what and how. The scheme is simple, you negotiate the conditions for placing a banner from Profit-Partner on your blog, agree, place a banner - you get money. Usually paid monthly!

By the way, do not think that if you have a high attendance, then you will be paid more. There may be more, but basically the guys are interested in what phrases visitors mainly come to your blog from search engines.

Well, that's basically all for today. Although no, I didn’t say the most important thing until a permanent audience is formed on your blog and there is good traffic, don't worry about making money from ads- kill your blog!

If we make the initial conclusion that better than google adsense or Yandex Direct, then I still prefer Direct of course. More will be seen!

And what kind of contextual advertising do you place on your resources? Adsense, Direct, maybe Runner? I will be glad to hear the answers in the comments. By the way, what do you think about YAN, and especially about Profit-Partner? Is it a good company or not?

I am finishing the post. All the best. Last but not least, an interesting video. Just a roar...

P.S. How do you like the article? I advise you not to miss information about new free video courses and blog contests!

Sincerely, Alexander Borisov

Friends, today I want to tell you about my little experience in website monetization using contextual advertising from Yandex and Google. In the article you will find a description of earnings in affiliate programs YAN and Adsense, as well as a comparison of the cost of clicks in these systems, based on personal experience.

Yandex Advertising Network andGoogleAdsense.

Advertising network Yandex (YAN) and Google Adsense - so called partnership programs Internet search giants that allow webmasters to earn money on their sites. I think many readers have heard about these systems, and maybe they are already successfully working in them. For those who have not previously encountered contextual advertising, a couple of words below.

Search engines receive the main income from contextual advertising. Everyone saw the following ads on the search results pages in Yandex and Google:

When competition among sites for a particular search term is high, it sometimes makes sense to simply buy interested visitors. Search engines realize the sale of visitors through contextual advertising. In search results, a person is shown an ad that is relevant to their search query. If a person is interested in it, and he clicked on an advertising link, the advertiser pays the search engine a certain amount of money.

It works the same way for websites. Let's take a look at the site:

Contextual advertising from Yandex is inserted above the article, when clicking on it, the advertiser pays the search engine a certain amount of money. How can a search engine motivate me to place their ads? Certainly a share of income. For both YAN and Adwords, this share is about 50%. Those. Search engines take one half of the advertiser's amount for the visitor's transition from my site to his site, and give the other half to me. As a result, everyone is satisfied: the advertiser got the target visitor, the search engine and I got the money. It would seem: work and be happy, but the devil, as always, is in the details.

YAN or Adsense? Which system to choose?

There are a lot of details and subtleties when working with contextual advertising. First of all, the question arises: which system to work with? This question leads to the so-called "holivar". He is from the field: "Which is better: Windows or Linux?". Many webmasters work with both systems at once, which the latter, although not very fond of, tolerate. But the question of which of them brings more income always excites the minds of beginners. I will talk about the features that should be considered when choosing.

  1. YAN has an attendance bar for admission to the system - 500 people per day within a month. Adsense takes sites virtually from scratch.
  2. Currently for work YAN requires the conclusion of an agreement, in which all your real data will appear, and which will need to be sent to their office by mail (not electronic) or brought in person. Did this quest not too long ago. In general, everything is fine, but it takes a lot of time. You can only get by with Adsense scans of documents.
  3. Currently YAN will take from your earnings 13% personal income tax and pay them for you to the state (just for you, not for yourself). For some, this is a plus, for some it is a minus, and someone does not have the right to engage in parallel activities due to their profession. This should be taken into account. Adsense offers webmasters on one's own deal with tax issues. At least for now.
  4. I read a lot of stories about Adsense, when the webmaster's account is blocked with the balance of funds and you won't find the truth anymore. About YAN this did not come across.
  5. The minimum amount to be withdrawn from YAN is 3000 rubles, while Adsense has 100$ , which until recently was almost equivalent, but now differs significantly.
  6. Both Adsense and YAN allow you to withdraw earned funds to Yandex.Money. For Adsense, to select a withdrawal method, you first need to accumulate at least 10$ .
  7. Block settings contextual advertising in YAN more flexible, but Adsense in some cases hides information that this is an advertisement, which has a positive effect on transitions.
  8. Adsense has a better click and click statistics system.

Approximately such conclusions I made while working with these contextual advertising systems.

And now the most interesting - numbers.

I used YAN and Adsense on different sites of the same subject. Below is the average cost per click for 2014 by month:

What conclusions can be drawn from these figures?

  1. Taking into account the current dollar exchange rate, working with Adsense has become twice as profitable as with YAN.
  2. Most likely, such a difference in the cost of a click will be eliminated due to competition for advertisers between systems. Given that Yandex pays less, Google will be forced to cut prices or lose customers. This is my personal opinion and is not necessarily true.

Conclusion: Skim the cream off Adsense before it's too late. ;-)

P.S.: If you are on the other side of the barricades and, on the contrary, order advertising in Yandex.Direct or Adwords, then you probably know that this is not as easy as it might seem at first glance. To prevent money from flying into the pipe, you need to properly configure advertising company, including retargeting. You can read more about what retargeting is and how best to set it up on the ADNOUS website, which is dedicated to this technology.

In contact with

I welcome you, dear friends, to my blog about making money online. Every blogger thinks about monetizing their website. The most popular way is contextual advertising Yandex Direct or Google Adsense. This means that search engine robots monitor and crawl all the web pages of the network, determining keywords on them and the meaning of the content. After that, ad units containing ads in text or graphic form are displayed. Naturally, if the webmaster places an advertising code on his site. Conformity advertisements in terms of the content of the site will be as accurate as possible if . After reading such an article, the visitor should not leave the page, but follow the advertising link. Each click (click) in an ad unit brings webmasters a percentage charged by Yandex or Google.

adsense ad belongs Google and is one of the most developed and popular systems of contextual ads in the world. Through the AdWords service, advertisers publish their ads. This system supports the "blocks of links" format, i.e. link pack without ads. However, it is worth considering that this block sometimes simply replaces the site navigation, and this is perceived by visitors rather negatively.

  • the blog must be hosted on a paid hosting;
  • within a month, daily blog traffic should be at least 300 people;
  • the site must exist for more than 3 months.

From this we can conclude that advertising on Yandex is convenient for offline blogs with high traffic. quite simple and does not require knowledge about what I previously wrote in other posts.

Let's look at the main differences between these services:

Moderation. In Google, moderation, as well as the traffic threshold, are absent. You can not think about the benefits for visitors and the quality of the site, focusing directly on earnings. To place an ad on Yandex, you need to go through moderation by fulfilling a lot of requirements. The application is submitted once a month.

Website Requirements. The conditions put forward by the Yandex system are more stringent than those of Google, especially in terms of restrictions on the installation of ad units per day. Google gives webmasters the opportunity to earn money from the day the site is created. Yandex, on the other hand, requires popularity, quality and usefulness. You can add a site if it is created for people (SDL), and also has high traffic. Yandex does not allow placement of more than 9 advertisements on a page, Google - more than 3 ad units.

Advertising block design. In principle, this issue can be argued due to differences in tastes. The truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. The look of text ads is more interesting in Yandex Direct, given the ability to edit them in style, but Google Adsense has no equal in terms of graphics and multimedia ads. Advertising on Yandex allows you to adjust your context to the design you like by experimenting with CPC and CTR. adsense ad contains ready-made templates ads that you can use.

Consumer Policy for Webmasters. Yandex pays amounts starting from the ruble, convenient ways (WebMoney// bank transfers, etc.). Google's minimum starts at $10. AdSense is not very profitable for Runet users, since it is problematic to cash out amounts (through PayPal or a certain bank account), and besides, interest is charged for this.

number of advertisers. Direct has several times more advertisers than Adsense. Competition provides more earnings, so many webmasters strive for YAN. The cost per click in Yandex Direct is at a good level and depends on the location of the ad units and their subject matter. It is worth considering that Google can block your account due to clicks (extraneous clicks). Then the money will be returned to advertisers, and the account will be blocked along with everything that was there. If a similar situation occurs in the YAN, it is not the account that is banned, but only a single site.

Support. Work with Yandex Direct is carried out through the CSP. Quality service, consultations are possible on all issues. For example, Profit Partner answers even at night in just a couple of minutes. Google has support and a forum, but they are of little use.

Income. The income received from the use of advertising is basically the same, however, Yandex Direct is still a priority. Actually, both networks work normally together, but this requires voluminous posts and a certain design that allows advertising not to capture the volume of most of the blog.

What are the statistics of clicks on advertisements

The average number of clicks is 1-2 % . Thus, on 1000 pages viewed accounted for 10-20 clicks on advertising windows. CPC brings to the webmaster 0,01-2 $ (in the Russian network) and 0,1-10 $ (outside the Russian segment). Sometimes rates exceed $100-200 per click. The cost depends on:

  • the number of clicks on an advertisement in relation to the number of its impressions;
  • article topics;
  • the number of competitors in the topic.

There are commercial and non-commercial requests. An article optimized for the query “Which camera to buy” will contain commercial ad units from photo equipment sellers. The query “How to cook buckwheat porridge” is likely to be deprived of the attention of advertisers, and random cheap ads will appear on the page.

contextual advertising Yandex direct or google adsense is profitable as a way to make money. It can also be used when idle banner places or demonstrating their availability to potential advertisers. By analyzing the profitability of topics, webmasters create properly optimized sites. They bring the maximum CTR and the most expensive clicks in the process of work.
