Paronite of general purpose PON (A) grade is made according to GOST 481-80 from a rubber mixture based on synthetic or natural rubber with the addition of chrysotile asbestos fibers and modifying additives.

Paronite PON (A) is used for the manufacture of gaskets for sealing permanent flat joints of mechanisms and devices. If the paronite gaskets are correctly installed into the sealed unit, the sealed joint is completely sealed. The material is produced in the form of sheets with a thickness of 2.0 to 6.0 mm, dimensions from 500x500 mm to 1500x3000 mm. By agreement between the consumer and the manufacturer, it is possible to produce gaskets according to the approved regulatory documents of the customer.

Paronite PON (A) is the most common gasket and sealing material. It lends itself easily to mechanical processing: cutting and chopping. The yield point of paronite is 320 MPa. At this value of pressure, the material begins to "flow", filling all leaks, sealing the connection. When choosing a paronite sheet, you should correctly determine its required thickness. The thinner the sheet, the more effective the sealing. But on the other hand, the thickness of the paronite should be sufficient to fill the connecting lock - "thorn-groove", "depression-protrusion", etc.

Paronite and products made from it can be used in cold, temperate and tropical climates.

Acceptance

Paronite PON (A) or gaskets made from it are accepted in batches at the manufacturing plant by the technical control section. 100% of products are subject to visual inspection. Acceptance is carried out according to the norms established by the Interstate Standard, or according to the standard agreed with the customer. For compliance with mechanical and physical properties, products are checked selectively, in the amount of several pieces from the batch.

Each batch of PON (A) paronite is accompanied by a quality certificate with the results of acceptance tests attached.

manufacturer's warranty

Subject to the conditions of transportation and storage in accordance with GOST 481-80, the manufacturer establishes a guaranteed storage period for general-purpose paronite of the PON (A) brand and gaskets from it - two years from the date of production.

By and. 2.5 (Table 4, indicator 2) - two samples;

By and. 2.6 - three samples.

The distance from the sample to the edge of the sheet is at least 30 mm.

4.2, 4.3. (Modified edition, Amendment No. 3).

4.4. The density of paronite is determined according to GOST 24039, while deviations according to individual definitions are allowed by no more than 10% of the norm.

45. Determination of conditions of strength at break

Samples with a size of 20x110 mm are punched out with a maximum deviation of +0.5 mm, in the direction transverse to rolling. The samples are kept for (60 + 5) min in an oven at a temperature of (110 + 5) ° C, while the samples should be located so that free air access is provided over their entire surface. Then the samples are cooled for at least 30 min in a desiccator according to GOST 25336, filled with calcium chloride according to TU 6-09-5077, at an ambient temperature of 23 ° C.

Measure the thickness of the samples.

The samples are clamped in a tensile testing machine with a distance between the clamps (50 + 2) mm and a movable clamp speed (250 + 10) mm / min and break them.

The rupture of the samples is carried out no later than 10 minutes after removing them from the desiccator. If the sample breaks at the point of its clamping, the test result is not taken into account and tests are carried out on a new sample.

The variation error should not exceed 1% of the measured load.

Conditional strength at break (G) in megapascals (kgf / cm 2) is calculated by the formula

where P is the load causing the sample to rupture, N (kgf);

S is the cross-sectional area of \u200b\u200bthe sample before testing, m 2 (cm 2).

The arithmetic mean of the results of all determinations, rounded to the nearest whole number, is taken as the test result, while deviations from the norm for individual determinations by no more than 10% are allowed.

(Modified edition, Amendment No. 4).

4.6. The increase in the mass of paronite in liquid media is determined according to GOST 24037, while deviations according to individual definitions are allowed by no more than 10% from the norm.

(Modified edition, Amendment No. 4).

4.7. The decrease in mass in liquid media is determined according to GOST 24037 on samples of 20x20 mm in size with a maximum deviation of +0.5 mm.

(Modified edition, Amendment No. 5).

4.8. The compressibility and recoverability of paronite is determined according to GOST 24038, while deviations according to individual definitions are allowed by no more than 10% from the norm.

(Modified edition, Amendment No. 4).

4.9. Determination of compaction capacity

4.9.1. Paronite grades PON and PA, PON-A, PON-B, PON-V are tested for sealing ability in a steam environment in a laboratory autoclave of the AP-1 type (Fig. 1).

Nine annular paronite samples with an outer diameter (120 + 1) mm and an inner diameter (80 + 1) mm, covered with oil graphite paste (composition: mineral oil with a kinematic viscosity at 100 ° C (6-11) m 2 / s 65-85% and graphite according to GOST 5420 or GOST 5279 15-35%) is clamped between the flanges (steel 40X according to GOST 4543) of the collector. The presence of grease on the end part of the samples is not allowed.

(Modified edition, Amendment No. 4).

Tests are carried out at a vapor pressure in the collector (10 + 0.5) MPa [(100 + 5) kgf / cm 2], pressure on the samples (22.5 + 0.5) MPa [(225 + 5) kgf / cm 2 ], collector temperature (450 + 10) ° С and test time (30 + 2) min.

The samples ensure the tightness of the sealed joints if there is no vapor leakage during the test.

4.9.2. Paronite grades PON, PMB, PMB-1, PA, PON-A, PON-B, PON-V are tested for sealing ability in liquid media in a laboratory autoclave of the AP-2 type (Fig. 2).

Kerosene is used as a control liquid.

Nine annular paronite specimens with an outer diameter (120 + 1) mm and an inner diameter (80 + 1) mm, covered with graphite oil paste, are clamped between the manifold flanges. The presence of grease on the end part of the samples is not allowed.

The tests are carried out at the pressure of the liquid medium in the manifold (15 + 0.5) MPa [(150 + 5) kgf / cm 2], while the pressure is gradually raised every 15 minutes by (2.5 + 0.5) MPa [( 25 + 5) kgf / cm 2], pressure on samples (32.4 + 0.5) MPa [(324 + 5) kgf / cm 2], temperature of the liquid medium (20 + 5) ° С and test time at the specified parameters (30 + 2) min.

The samples ensure the tightness of the sealed joints if there is no kerosene leakage during the test.
