I want to tell you about how I made friends with a mobile router HAME MPR-A1 with 4G modem Huawei e3272... The purchase was made for a friend. A friend chose this model, mainly because of the miniature size, so as not to get in the way of a pocket or bag. It is considerably more compact and lighter than the Hame R1 I bought for myself. The board is based on the Ralink RT5350F chip and has revision A1-V2.2 (this is the most a new version today). It has exactly the same version of the board.

After turning on the router, it automatically creates an open Wi-Fi network(the password can be set in the web interface). To enter, you need to enter the address of the router in the address bar of the browser: 192.168.169.1 (in the web interface, it is enabled by default English). The web interface of the router is intuitive, the default password is "hame".

No additional settings and manipulations with the 4G modem Huawei e3272 were required, it connects perfectly out of the box.

I will note a number of features of using the device, for example, in country house... By moving a router with a 4G modem indoors or outdoors (in summer), you can find areas of more confident reception with a significant increase in speed. This place turned out to be a window overlooking the city.

The speed of 12.18 Mbit / s obtained in a country house suggests that the router perfectly picks up and distributes real 4G Internet.

3. Also tested the upload speed Wi-Fi internet supplied via RJ45 connector via WAN interface STATIC (fixed IP) or DHCP. Everything works fine, no surprises.

HAME A-1 allows you to connect to your cable provider using PPPoE authentication.

The router is able to distribute mobile 3G Internet via a LAN interface via a UTP cable, for this you need to change the role for the RJ45 connector from WAN (Internet) to LAN ( the local network). To connect to a stationary computer, you need UTP cable up to 100 m long (it is possible to rise up to 200 m). You can also supply power (5v_1A) without any problems over a free blue or brown pair (for example, by installing a modem with a router in the attic of the house). This will eliminate the use of active USB extenders with a length of 5 m or more (the price of such an extension cable is comparable to the price of a HAME MPR-A1 mobile router). There will also be no need to run buggy programs such as "megaphone_internet, beeline_dom, mts_connect", etc. The computer automatically receives a local address and goes online when the router is turned on with an inserted 3G / 4G modem.

5. Hame MPR-A1 can be used to charge various mobile devices... Roughly speaking, a full charge of the router's battery is enough for 1-2 charges of an average smartphone.
I tested the HAME A1 with a 5.7-inch THL W7S phablet with a 2300 mAh battery. The router spent 2.5 hours and all its capacity (1800mAh) to charge the smartphone battery up to 79%.

Conclusion: the HAME MPR-A1 mobile router has been tested and found to be serviceable, all the declared functions work perfectly. During testing, I did not find any network dumps and glitches in the firmware. In all operating modes, you can simultaneously charge the router batteries with an external charger (5V_1A).

I drew attention to a previously published about the same model of a mobile router, but the author purchased it in another store. I looked closely at the photographs of the author and found a number of differences:
1) Another "proprietary" box
2) Another battery and another way of attaching it to the board
3) Another board, no copper shield under the battery, also no revision information (board version not known).
4) There is no sticker with a serial number on the body of the router

Therefore, I would like to mention caution when buying this model in other online stores. Pay attention to the above differences.

After reading some comments about the various batches of the same manufacturer of this model, I looked at DX.com and found a number of characteristic features that matched exactly:
1) Serial number on the case of the router
