Designed for use with alternating or direct current for manual arc welding when performing work on ordinary or critical structures consisting of low-carbon steel grades (GOST 380-94 (Art. 0, Art. 1, Art. 2, Art. 3), DSTU 2770-94 ) deoxidation of all types ("KP", "SP", "PS") and GOST 1050-88 (05KP, 08, 08KP, 08PS, 10, 10KP, 10PS, 15, 15KP, 15PS, 20, 20KP, 20PS).
MONOLITH RC electrodes differ from analogues in the reduced release and intensity of formation of welding aerosols and manganese during metal welding. These indicators were achieved through the use of high-quality raw materials and by introducing a high level of process control in the production of electrodes. There is confirmation of a reduction in the release of manganese by more than 30%, a reduction in the release of harmful substances in welding aerosol by more than 28% from the Electric Welding Institute named after. E.O. Paton NAS of Ukraine and the Institute of Occupational Medicine of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
They are distinguished by easy re-ignition and initial ignition, stable and soft arc burning, the coating melts evenly, the metal seam is perfectly formed, the slag crust is easily separated, and minimal metal loss from spattering is ensured.
It is possible for novice welders to perform welding due to the easy handling of the electrode.
It is possible to carry out welding in hard-to-reach places. It is possible to bend the electrode without damaging the coating.

Original Monolith electrodes - reviews from welders are good. Let's consider the technical characteristics, cost and impressions of home craftsmen about these products.
Monolith RC electrodes are used for manual arc welding in industry and everyday life. The rod operates on alternating and direct current and connects critical structures of low-carbon steels.
The position of the seams during welding (picture below), everything except vertical from top to bottom for 5.0 mm products.
During installation work, weld in all spatial positions without changing the welding current setting.
The top-down connection is made by support or a short arc. Avoiding slag flowing ahead of the arc. Welders recommend holding the electrode at an angle of 40-70° to the vertical. In the lower positions, tilt the rod 20-40 degrees in the direction of welding.

Other data:
Monolith welding electrodes can be used without cutting edges against rust and other contaminants. For lap, corner and butt joints.
What to replace, analogues:
The connection is made with alternating current with an open circuit voltage of 50 V and constant current of any polarity (preferably reverse).
The current settings for different rod diameters are presented in the table:
If consumables are moistened, a 30-minute calcination is required at 120°C.
Advantages of Monolith products:
The listed advantages of consumables allow green beginners to learn the basics of welding in a short time.
Packaging data is presented in the table:
How much do Monolith welding electrodes cost?? The price for consumables is quite reasonable. For example, 3 mm products are purchased for 100-140 rubles per kg.
Ivan, amateur:
At home I always used and. I recently purchased 1 kg of Monolith Life and realized what a high-quality electrode is. There is no slag, no sparks, they ignite instantly, and the seam is a sight to behold. The packaging is high quality, each rod has a name. If you haven't tried it, please evaluate the products in use.
Review from a professional, 12 years of experience:
“Monolith” RC is inferior to its analogue ESAB OK 46.00, but the difference in price compensates for the lag. As for work: the seam is dense with a small crust of slag, which can be easily removed. There are no shells, lack of penetration or gaps.
Although the manufacturer assures that the electrodes are insensitive to metal contamination. But that's not true! For a quality connection, the surfaces to be welded should be prepared.
The advantage of Monolith Life (“Monolith” RC) is its reduced toxicity; the smoke emitted is not as smelly compared to other consumables. The working thickness of the metal declared by the manufacturer is 3 - 20 mm, which is a little modest. I welded 1.7 mm sheets as a monolith.
The coating is also excellent. You can bend the electrodes in any direction, and the coating does not crumble. But know when to stop: bend gradually, carefully. There are also negative reviews; there are counterfeit products on the market, to which dissatisfied welders respond.
Leonid, no qualifications:
I wanted to criticize the Monolith rods, but the pros explained the situation. I purchased a fake (gray coating) and was dissatisfied. I enjoyed working with the original products, bread-colored. For those who don't know how to cook just right!
